We aren’t going to have the same great facilities we’ve had in the past for Camp St. Cecilia — large, warm room with big tales and lots of light. The facilities are going to be more rustic and the girls might have to stitch in their laps.
I came up with this idea. The words “Dieu Le Roi” I just free handed in stem stitch. The patch was simple enough to sew on but frankly the embroidery was kind of tough to do with no lines to follow. I tried to write it on the fabric with a chalk pencil but the surface was too soft. Any ideas out there for how I can write on a soft, dark fabric like polar fleece so the embroidery is a breeze?
