I taught a cross stitch this June to a group of 30 girls. A group that large was hard but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The young ladies were a joy and a delight to spend time with. By the last day they were stitching confidently and were able to follow patterns and get creative with their work.
Most of the girls were beginners with a smattering of knowledgeable stitchers. We split into girls into three groups by age and completed 3 projects over 4 days. Each day was about two hours divided by a 1.5 hour break. Contact me if you are interested in knowing my tools and methods.
The only thing that made having a group that large successful was the young adult helpers at each table. They were able to solve problems with needle threading, clarifying instructions, and demonstrating the stitch. It was a great success and everyone enjoyed it! Thanks to all my helpers and students! See you next year.
