I’m so excited. I found this great title at the local Third Place Books, “Royal School of Needlework Embroidery Techniques.”
I highly recommend this book if you are interested in goldwork and silk shading for use in ecclesiastical embroidery. There are some very good details on the use of padding in goldwork which will help me when I start to develop some goldwork projects of my own. It is not a book for beginners as it assumes the reader knows some of the basics of goldwork but it should be in your library if you are serious about working with gold threads.
